About Us

Western Bay Safeguarding Children Board (WB SCB) is the key statutory mechanism for agreeing how organisations will co-operate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people living in region.

It is a multi-agency forum which brings together representatives of each of the main agencies and professionals who are responsible for helping to protect children from abuse and neglect. The WBSCB is responsible for agreeing on how the different services and professional groups should co-operate to safeguard children, and for making sure that arrangements work effectively in bringing about better outcomes for children and young people in Western Bay.

The Board itself is a made up of Senior Management representatives from these agencies across the region who are involved in providing services to Children and their families.
